U12 Home: Bradford 23 - Hull 1

After two postponed matches, the U12s finally kicked off their season at the third attempt on Saturday with a match at home against Hull. The Bulldogs were hoping to carry on their form from the end of last season which saw them hand league champions Sheffield their only defeat. After a relatively cautious start, the Bulldogs soon settled into the groove and by midway through the first period had made their intentions clear with with what turned into a remorseless assault on their opponents net, firing in goal after goal without reply. Despite this, Hull showed great team spirit and never gave up but by the end of the match the score was 23-1 to Bradford, with Hull finally managing to find the net in the dying seconds of the game. Overall the game was a great start to the season and which, despite being one sided, showed that Bradford are capable of some great hockey.

MVP: Alex Lutwyche for debut in nets and almost achieving shutout except for the last 23 seconds before the end of the match
