YOUNG GUNS: Our Bradford Bulldogs Undewr-10s were in action at a tournament in Sheffield on Sunday.

BULLDOGS’ Under-10s capped an enjoyable season by taking part in a tournament at Sheffield on Sunday, the team coming away with plenty of great memories, despite being tested by their group rivals on the ice.

Coached by Andy Brown, the Bulldogs’ youngsters gained some valuable experience at Ice Sheffield taking on teams from Dundee, Peterborough, Sheffield, Fife and Basingstoke.

NOW HEAR THIS: Bulldogs’ head coach Andy Brown was on the Under-10s bench giving instruction.

There were no wins on the day in what was a tough group, but team manager said the youngsters had given their all and impressed with their willingness to compete all day.

“It was a very, very tough tournament for our youngsters,” said Aimee. “And while we did lose every game, the kids’ never stopped trying throughout and their attitude was fantastic.

“It was a great experience for them all and they will have learned such a lot from it. We’ve got lots to look forward to next season and so we’ll move on and work on our play for the future.”

Our Under-10s train every Wednesday from 5.30pm at Bradford Ice Arena. If your child is interested in taking up ice hockey, we run beginners’ sessions costing £5 which run at the same time.
