U10: Bradford - Strongest Northern Club

This weekend saw a depleted Bulldogs U10 squad missing a few regulars take a trip to Deeside for their U10 X-ice event. The trip also saw a couple of debuts, one for Conner Stevens in his first ever match and one for Jack Ridley, a U10 regular having his first time in anger between the sticks as the Bulldogs net-minder. First up against the Bulldogs were Blackburn who came to try and win but in the end  were beaten by the Bulldogs 7 - 3 in what was a good game to watch. The second team we faced were the hosts Deeside, who always provide a tough physical game and this one was no exception. Despite this, the Bulldogs dug deep and came away with a 5 - 4 win in a nail-biter of a finish. The final game was against Manchester which saw the them concede a goal to the Bulldogs in the first few seconds. It was all downhill from there for an uncharacteristically lacklustre Manchester side who despite some valiant efforts had no answer to the passing game and skill of the Bulldogs who sliced them open time and again with both teamwork and flashes of individual brilliance. The final score was a 9 - 1 demolition by the Bulldogs but the score really did not reflect their dominance over what is normally a very good team. Overall a brilliant team effort from a depleted squad which saw each of them step up to the plate.  Every single one of them played an absolute blinder and each came away quite rightly with their heads held high. Three games, three wins. It can't get any better than that.
