Bulldogs and Ice Wolves go head-to-head in Christmas Charity Game in aid of Neonatal Appeal
CHRISTMAS is the time for giving and so, in that spirit, we have teamed up with our friends at Bradford Ice Wolves to put on a Charity Fundraising Game!
Players from both teams will go head-to-head at Bradford Ice Arena on Sunday, December 29 - and the face-off time has now been officially confirmed as 5.30pm!
And it is all for such a fantastic cause! Our chosen charity - working with the brilliant people at Bradford Hospitals Charity - is the Neonatal Appeal at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
All money raised on game day will go towards the current refurbishment and expansion of the unit, which promises to transform the experience of Neonatal care for hundreds of families.
So we want you to come down to 'The Pound' on December 29, dig deep, and join in the fun as we raise as much money as possible!
Lisa Williams, head of Fundraising at Bradford Hospitals Charity, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Bradford Bulldogs and Bradford Ice Wolves for choosing our Neonatal Appeal as the beneficiary of their charity game.
“This wonderful initiative will help transform care for our tiniest patients and their families at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
“Thank you to everyone involved for showing such fantastic community spirit during the festive season."
Bulldogs' head coach Andy Brown said: "When we realised we had some available ice time, we got our heads together and thought it would be great to raise money for a worthy, local cause.
"The staff at Bradford Teaching Hospitals do such great work for families throughout the year and we hope that whatever we can raise on the day will help them achieve what they want to with their ongoing Neonatal Appeal."
Matthew Gatenby, chairman of the Ice Wolves, added: "It was a no-brainer when it was suggested we raise money for this fantastic cause.
"We want as many people as possible to come down for the game, donate whatever they can over Christmas and make a difference for the many families who rely on the Neonatal Unit and the vital work they carry out there."
